Out and about....with Aunt Alice

TJ and Whit had a great day on Saturday. Aunt Alice called and wanted to play...first we went to the Lafayette Natural History Museum and Planetarium for the "Rusty the Rocket" movie. Then Lunch at Agave downtown. We introduced Aunt Alice to Sans Souci and did a little shopping. On to the Rodrigue Exhibit at the Acadiana Arts Council to look at some "Blue Dogs". And finally, Girard park. They played on the slides and fed the ducks and Nutra Rat! and yes, their favorite part of such an exciting day was....feeding bread to the Nutra...they are boys, what can I say.

Sunday Fun on the levee in Butte La Rose

All of a sudden it was quiet and we did not see the kids riding around the yard on their 4 wheelers. Wonder why? They were getting the bikes set up to go "real fast" down the levee. TJ helped his little brother Whitney get the bike up the levee because Whit is too small to push it up hill. What a good big brother! Hope they always help eachother....

Cousin Logan's 1st Birthday Party

TJ and Whit went to "baby Logan's" first birthday party on Saturday February 21st. It was held at the park in Coteau de Holmes. We had burgers and hot dogs. The slide and swings were the favorites. And Logan got lots of presents.

Vermilionville Mardi Gras 2009 Video

This is a video of the traditional french singing and dancing while begging for the ingredients to the gumbo.

The long curls are gone! We finally cut all of Whitney's hair off. Don't worry...it will always be curly.
This was our second year attending the traditional "Courir de mardi gras" at Vermilionville. The Basile Mardi Gras Association comes to Vermilionville to demonstrate the traditions of years past. When we attended in 2008 TJ and Whitney were a little scared of the costumes and begging.

A couple of weeks ago TJ asked when he and Whtiney were getting their costumes for the Mardi Gras this year...I called Nanny Mel since she has those Lawtell connections figuring that she or Lance's mom would know of someone that could make the costumes. A lady named Ms. Terry made the costumes as requested of John Deere Fabric...the kids LOVED them. They had a blast and ran with all of the adults. Maw Josie met us out there with the kids best buddy Jeau.

TJ and Whit are now looking forward to catching lots of beeds at the big parage in Lafayette...more pics to come soon...

I just realized that the dots are yellow and green...subliminal?

Christmas Picture 2008

This my first blog...I am not so great at filling in baby books, so this (I think) will be easier for me to capture memories for TJ and Whit to be able to look back on.
